Day After Thanksgiving Sale

 It is coming up fast and furious now, Thanksgiving and just as importantly the day after thanksgiving sales 2009!  One thing I have learnt over the last few years is that preparation is vital if you want to make the most of the sales that this year will be on Friday 27th November.

Why are they known as Black Friday Sales? Because traditionally this is the day when stores go into the black, so everything they sell from then till the end of the year is profit. The 2009 sales weekend, which now includes Cyber Monday, is going to be vital for many companies. It could very well be make or break for many companies in the retail sector.

So what are you looking for in this years after thanksgiving sale? Are you already working on a list of things that your family want, things that may well be just a bit too expensive right now but if they appear at the right price then you will snap them up.

The Thanksgiving Specials can be wonderful, they can also be very tempting. I mean who doesn't want to snap up some of the electronics items on sale ? That huge TV at 50% less than usual always seems tempting and if you have the money then go ahead and get it. If you are working on a budget then maybe you should ignore the TV and look at some of the great deals that are always available in electronics.

So what are the key steps to being ready for your Thanksgiving adventure?

• Budget - Know what money you have to play with, if you are going to use a credit card then know how you will be paying it off.
• Be Realistic- If you have 3 children then your christmas present bill can be high. But it is better to get them less presents and still be able to pay the bills.
• Need vs Want - No matter how good the Thanksgiving deal is (and there will be some very good ones this year) make sure you buy things you need first then use whatever is left in your budget for the wants.
• Don't Wait- Many companies release the information on their Thanksgiving Sales long before the actual weekend so you can see what things are going to sell for. If the price is better from somewhere else now then buy it now.

Thanksgiving Gifts for him - Whether you are buying for your husband, brother,father or some other man in your life you can be assured he will be happy with Tools, Candy or Technology. Think about what would really make his eyes light up, will it be the Cheap LCD TV , the Thanksgiving laptop deal or maybe he is a video game nut and would like the Nintendo Wii

Thanksgiving Toy Sales - There are always good deals on toys but I think this year will be something special Toys r Us and Walmart are sure to kick it! Just be careful not to get sucked into buying a nintendo wii at a bargain price and then realize that you can't afford the toys or the extra nintendo wands that are needed. 

One of the really popular items is going to be the Barbie dreamhouse. At 3ft tall this one isn't going to be easy to hide under the christmas tree but the little girl in your life will go nuts when she finds it and I am pretty sure it will keep her and her Barbies quiet for a while.
