Black Friday Laptop Deals
You have been saving your dollars for months waiting with baited breath for the Black Friday Laptop
Deals. If you need a new laptop, or you are just tired of being tied to your desktop PC then you may well
be thinking this is your one and only chance to be able to afford the laptop of your dreams.
I hate to be the one to burst anyones dream bubble but the thanksgiving sales are not always the best time to get a laptop deal.
But Look at the prices! I hear you say. Yes you will see some amazingly low laptop prices but what are you
getting for your money.
Black Friday Laptop Deals 2011 As I write this we have not seen all the Black Friday
Laptop deals announced, the only offer I have seen so far is from Costco and is for a HP laptop for $599
instead of $849. The laptop is a high powered model and if you need something for business or as your main computer
then it may work for you, but if you are looking for a cheap deal this is not it.
Since the thanksgiving weekend sales are so big companies often get items made just for the occassion. They know
that everyone looks at the sales price and not much else so all they are looking for is a low manufaturing cost and
nothing else.
To get the lowest manufacturing cost posible the laptops are normally downgraded, they may have a 30gig hard
drive instead of a 80 gig one which has become common on laptops. They may only have the bare minimum of ram that
the operating system requires to run, this will ensure it is slow to run and may well not run a lot of the software
that you want it to.
In my opinion you may be better off keeping an eye out for Amazon specials, the Amazon Deal Of The Day can be
pretty good, they sometimes have a full spec laptop at bargain prices.
If you don't really want a laptop that does anything other than show you YouTube videos and allows you to check
your gmail account then maybe you should look at one of the new Netbooks.
Whatever you buy, especially if it is as a gift for a loved one then you need to make sure that it has enough
power to do the work that they will need it to do.
